Kevin Labonte, is a proud father. He was born in London, Ontario and has lived in Toronto, Calgary, Oshawa, and Northern Ontario, but chose to raise his family in the city of London.
Kevin has chosen to run for the Green Party because he agrees with their policies and wants to see the environment and social justice become the primary goal of Ontario's Government. He believes that a healthy environment does not have to come at the cost of the economy.
Like many in Ontario, he works hard to put food on the table and a roof over his family's head. He knows what it's like to have to live paycheque to paycheque in a tough economy.
Kevin has experienced first-hand the difficulty of finding affordable housing, a gainful employment, and a family physician.
He is dedicated to building an Ontario that promotes clean renewable energy and protects both jobs and the environment by focusing on communities and local businesses.
A Message from Mike Schreiner
I invite you to forget our cynical political world for a moment and imagine a new kind of politics in Ontario: the kind where you come first.
It’s possible. But it needs you to make it happen. I joined the Ontario Green Party to be part of a fresh new approach to politics that values good ideas over stale ideologies and has the courage to look beyond the four-year election cycle. My two daughters—and all our children—deserve a better future.
I sincerely believe it is possible to practice politics differently. By working together to strengthen our communities, we can create a legacy that will make us proud.
It’s time for a political party that unifies, not divides. It’s time to bring people from all walks of life together to build a financially, socially and environmentally sustainable Ontario for ourselves, our children and future generations.
Leader, Green Party of Ontario
